Dream Meaning of Heart

In the Turkish dream tradition, the heart is far more than a pumping organ. It stands for a person's faith, intellect, courage, generosity and hidden character — the inner ruler that guides everything else. A dream about the heart therefore speaks about who you truly are, and its condition reveals how healthy your spiritual and emotional life is. In some interpretations, the heart also represents your spouse, so the dream may carry a message about marriage or partnership.
Seeing a Healthy, Bright Heart
If you see a heart that is clean, white, and shining, this is considered a very favourable sign. It points to a pure heart, good intentions, and a strong and sincere faith. Such a dream reassures you that your inner world is in order and that your actions are likely to be guided by honesty and kindness. This is also a sign of sound judgement and a clear mind.
Heart Racing or Palpitations
A heart beating quickly or feeling palpitations in a dream is often linked to love and strong emotion. You may soon fall in love or find yourself deeply drawn to someone. Some commentators also say that if you wake up with a racing heart, it can be a warning to pay attention to your physical health and to consult a doctor.
Heart Ache or Disease
If you feel pain or discomfort in the heart in your dream, the old interpreters take it as a warning. It can mean that you are about to do something wrong or that you will suffer a loss of energy and face difficulties. A diseased heart, or one that is wounded and full of pus, is an even stronger warning about hypocrisy or bad intentions. It suggests that a person is not being true, and that unwholesome thoughts may be taking root.
Dark, Covered, or Stony Heart
When the heart appears black, covered with a veil, or hard like stone, the dream is telling you that you are losing touch with what is true and right. You may be failing to see reality clearly, or you may have allowed doubt and sin to cloud your judgement. A stony heart also points to cruelty and lack of compassion, while a black heart is associated with wrongdoing and distance from faith. The dream invites you to soften and turn back to a more sincere way of living.
Heart Stolen, Removed, or Lost
Dreaming that your heart is stolen, taken out, or missing is regarded as one of the more serious signs. It is often interpreted as a coming misfortune, a great fear, or a loss of reason. It can also point to spiritual confusion, as if your faith itself has been taken from you. If the heart is removed through an opening in the chest, the dream suggests a lack of understanding or a person who has lost their way. Yet if the heart is washed and then put back, this is a sign of spiritual renewal and protection from corruption.
Torn or Broken Heart
A heart torn into pieces carries different meanings depending on who you are. If you are going through hardship or illness, seeing your heart break apart is actually a hopeful sign: your troubles will soon end and healing will come. For someone who is devout and God-fearing, it represents intense love of the divine and the strength of your spiritual bond. For others, it can mean deep sorrow for a loved one's suffering, or the pain of loving someone too much.
Heart in an Unusual Place or with an Eye
If the heart appears in your hand, your belly, or outside your body altogether, each position has a meaning. A heart held in the palm says that your affairs will go smoothly; a heart in the abdomen indicates a sound religious life. Seeing a heart outside your body often points to good health, while a heart with an eye inside it is a wonderful sign of intelligence, insight, and eloquence. Some interpreters also say that simply seeing a heart can represent your wife, since she is seen as the keeper of the household.
In short, a dream about the heart asks you to look inward. Every detail — whether the heart is bright or dark, fast or still, whole or broken — offers a clue about your faith, your character, and your emotional state. By paying attention to those clues, you can better understand what is truly in your heart and where your life is headed.
